Kembara Perlis ....(part 1)

Perancangan utk jejak Perlis bermula semalam bersama cik puan hasma ...kami bertolak dari Putrajaya Sentral selepas maghrib menuju ke Terminal Bersepadu Selatan untuk menaiki bas ke Jitra







Sistem tiket dan pelepasan bas adalah sgt sistematik dan tersusun bahkan ada self-ticketing kiosk utk pengguna. Kemudahan prasarana di sini juga adalah teratur dan selesa utk pengguna.





Tepat jam 11pm bas bergerak dan alhamdulillah jam 530pg kami tiba di jitra. Lepak sekejap di 7e makan maggi dan bersuci di petronas berdekatan.




Tadaaa.....dh suci murni...

Teruskan perjalanan dengan menaiki kereta sewa menuju ke arau lalu singgah sekejap di Arau Santai menjamu selera....nice affrodable nasi lemak and kuih muih

Watergate 16hrs

Last weekend i had the opportunity to join watergate 16hrs event....the format of the event is runners should complete as many loop as they can (5km per loop) and at least a minimum of 10loops to qualified as finisher within 16hrs.

Approximately 270 runners registered from all over Malaysia and also overseas such Singapore, UK, India and many more.



As me myself i arrived around 530pm and directly took the race kit and find a spot for tent. There i meet new friends from Kuala Kangsar , Ampang and also Bangi who also join the race. Most of us are 1st timers in this event.





Around 745pm race manager brief us on race formats and at 800pm we flagged off.







I ran for 4 loops and stop for supper around 1130pm...the food was nice...nasi with ayam goreng berempah plus kari n sambal belacan some more...feeling full so i plan to just leisure walk on my 5th loop and start running back on the 6th loop onwards until 8th loop. I end my 8th loop around 430pm and decided to take shower and change to dry clothes and have a rest for a while. Around 530pm i continued my 9th loop and stop again for subuh prayer and finally complete my run at 915am with a total of 11 loops.





Overall i find this event as one of the best...new experience for me where i met amazing people...they are very determine, strong, supportive and inspiring...its not an easy task to be running at night till the day after sleepless, tired n with all the blister, soreness and all kinds of pain ... to set ur mind to keep going to the very last hours...real runners is not about a person accomplishment only but to be able to inspire and motivates others to keep going through days n nights, rain or shine...congrats to all of the runners, supporters and crews ...you're the best

My Opening Run for 2016


Holaaaa...hari ini Emily managed to complete my 1st trail run of the year ..Compressport Trail Run. Macam biasa route MAEPS ni mmg killer ...bukit2 pun sgt killer...dah macam nak jadi Ju-On pun ada dah tadi...Flag off jam 7pagi ...terus masuk route trail dan nak habaq kt uolls mmg jumpa bukit je lah 2/3 larian ni...At km4...tetiba rasa dizzy sgt2 dizzy...otak ni dh kata berhenti je lah...shld i stop here or continue..mata mcm dh nk kabur...so i stop for a while kt bukit km4 n have a rest sekejap...the mistake was i didnt load any food before run...dah lah awal pagi flush out segala dlm badan ni...dengan my homemade energy bar tertinggal....memang padan muka..but luckily jumpa juga satu energy gel kt dalam pouch .. so i consume half of it.. mata dh mcm ok clear...so i decide to continue the run ....lari jelah dengan mode santai sambil menikmati view ...naik bukit mmg jalan je lah ...hamstring dh mula rasa stress ...selang seli dgn power walk ....lari2 anak je biler kt bukit...


Ni masa turun bukit lepas km4 , masa ni sleeping chow tak sempat photobomb sbb camera pki counter..hahaha..sambil2 tu sempat la sembang2 dgn otai sleeping chow on running matters...sambil berpacing each other until ditinggalkan jauh oleh otai ni selepas pendakian tangga yang sangatlah mencabar

Larian diteruskan walaupun xdelah berlari sgt byk jalan je pun, route larian melalui trail hutan, laluan traktor kelapa sawit sehinggalah kawasan padang ragut kuda.

Nak jadi cerita lagi 2km tetiba gastronemius ku cramped perghhh..maha hebat sakitnya dua2 plak tu..nasib baik ada crew and abg runner yg tlg at that time ..maka slow run and walk je lah for the last 2km..inilah akibat kalau skip training ...apapun the event was well-organized, adequate water station with supportive crews...Sesiapa belum pernah try route MAEPS ni shld try once ...a good training ground as well...4star for this event.

My 1st Homemade Energy Bar

Happy New Year !!!!

Memandangkan hari ini cuti ...Emily nak belanja satu resipi untuk buat Energy Bar lah konon...yelah this month Emily ada banyak event termasuklah endurance run...so nak tak nak kena mula training and hari ni terasa nk buat energy bar sendiri ..kalau beli kat luar mahal lah jugak and dah sah2 ada preservatives kan...ok bahan2 yang diperlukan adalah :

Bahan-bahan:

100g walnut
100g almond 
100g pumpkin seed
100g kismis (boleh ganti dgn kurma much better)
50g chocolate nips / chips 
2 sudu besar serbuk/tepung kelapa
4 sudu besar madu 
1 sudu kecil esen vanilla

Caranya, mula2 kisarkan walnut,almond, pumpkin seed, kemudian dah kisar masukkan kismis atau kurma serta chocolate chipa dan gaulkan dalam mixer bowl. Dah sebati masukkan bahan2 lain seperti serbuk kelapa, madu dan esen vanila.  


Kemudian, setelah gaul hingga sebati masukkan dalam dulang pembakar empat segi dan bakar pada suhu 180darjah celcius selama 20min.

Tadaaa....dah siap dah my energy bar...so Emily pack kan kecik2 ikut jumlah kalori utk senang nk consume mengikut keperluan.


1 bar = 55g
Anggaran kalori = 340kcal

Untuk satu hidangan boleh dapat 8 bar yang sama dengan junlah kalori sebanyak 2720 kcal.

So, nilai kalori nya yang tinggi banyak diperoleh dari bahan2 seperti walnut dan almond yang kandunganan nutrisinya tinggi.

Jadi, energy bar ni highly recommend pada mereka yg aktif dan memerlukan extra tenaga untuk workout dan sukan.

Lagi...jalan-jalan cari makan

I went to Petaling Jaya to pickup my race kit for the upcoming Compressport Trail...the race kit collection run smoothly at the rofftop menara PJX HM ...while waiting i browse for any cendol stall as have been craving for those lately...so i google thru hungrygowhere.com and manage to find one near seksyen 17, PJ...it was a queue...the taste was SUPERB...and price not bad for a regular bowl.

Best Mee Tarik in Town

Looking for the best Mee Tarik in town? I highly recommend the one located near Cyberjaya by the name of Salam Noodles. This restaurant has few outlets in Kuala Lumpur such as Bandar Baru Bangi, Wangsa Maju, Putrajaya and many more existing and upcomings. What is so special about the Mee Tarik? They provide delicious food with reasonable price. All the foods are from RM2 - RM8 only with FREE DRINKS and REFILL. 

This is one of my favorite "Gravy Braised Beef Potato Noodles" . Looks and taste Yummy as well. RM8 per plate.


You can't resist this "Xinjiang Mutton Roast Stick" only RM2 per stick.
